    Ah, but what if those responsible for every link in that chain are fighting tooth and nail to remain competitively priced because of Nafta and globalization? What if they are cutting corners to cut costs? What if those cut corners were necessary for reasons of sanitary production or processing? 

    If we can't identify the problems preventively and we cannot, as in this instance identify them retrospectively the whole thing becomes a "crap shoot".

    Welcome back!

    When you add into that scenario the economic slowdown in the US which is slowing down illegal immigration and diminishing the amount of money being sent home to Mexico, the situation there becomes ever more dire.
