elliott----------------------------------------------- Hello There is a strong likelihood that you are right. Investigative reporters would pursue the answer in other ways. Hospitals and Doctors could be surveyed or interviewed. Newspapers could publish questionnaires for the response of their readers. Of course, the Mexican Government may frown on these activities. Ah the wonders of globalization!

Timely message. By all rights the same exigencies should over time have a similar impact on Walmarts competitive advantage.

elliott---- Best wishes to you as well. Do you think that the methods of "epidemiology" might be called in even when the regulators are in over their heads?

Ah, but what if those responsible for every link in that chain are fighting tooth and nail to remain competitively priced because of Nafta and globalization? What if they are cutting corners to cut costs? What if those cut corners were necessary for reasons of sanitary production or processing?

If we can't identify the problems preventively and we cannot, as in this instance identify them retrospectively the whole thing becomes a "crap shoot".

Sometimes skipping ahead to the final destination alerts us to future regrets that can still be undone.
