A Nation without Meaningful Rules

June 2, 2008 / by fixed845inc

Note to Barack Obama:

It seems to me that recent events reflect something about our nation that requires the attention of our next President. There appear to be two overarching themes that deserve the highest priority. The first is obvious and has already been widely acknowledged. The second is notable by the lack of attention being paid, or even the lack of seriousness on those few occasions when it does come up.

Theme I

To repair the damage done to our country and to the world by the domestic and foreign policies of GWB

Theme II

To anticipate and prevent the self imposed dysfunctional tendencies of the Democratic Party, for example, the tendency of the Party (DNC) to change the rules in the middle of the game,  from being transposed over to the way in which our nation is run. This is not to say that previous administrations have been unblemished in this regard. The fact is that this nation has, over many years, become less and less characterized by an adherence to and the enforcement of rules. The rules and laws regarding immig ration are the most striking example.

A nation without Rules is like a boat without a hull. You better carry your own life preserver. That's why the Party and it's leadership have to gain better insight into this, perhaps, fatal flaw, which could not fail to compound the already disorganized state of our governance.

To elaborate: At all times and in all places Resources are Limited. To act as if they are not is the height of irresponsibility

Truth may be stranger than fiction but it is not imaginary or plastic. The truth should not be ignored nor twisted all out of shape

Numbers are important and they have fixed relationships to one another  3 and 4 =7 not 2. Even if the results are inconvenient to someone with tremendous personal or political influence.

Facts are so important that they should not be denied. No one should take satisfaction from the prospect of winning an unnecessary war. If the origins of the war were wrong it can never turn out right.

Behaviors are either legal or not. If they are illegal they deserve punishment and certainly not reward.

Every thing and everybody requires some boundary that distinguishes the inside from the outside. Without demarcations there is no integrity. A person with inoperative boundaries is schizophrenic. A country without boundaries eventually goes out of control.

Absolute equality means an absence of priorities and results in chaos. People, God love them, are not equal.

You can't pretend otherwise

Loving tolerance of those who are out to slaughter us is self destructive

The evil of the Democrat Party is easy to solve - leave the Party.

I'm more concerned with your "Theme I". I keep trying to tell you that the world's present displeasure with the U.S. is not primarily a result of our nation's (or GWB's, if you must) international policies. It is the way in which the media (world and national) intentionally portray these policies that rankles everyone. All you need do is compare Fox News to Kieth Olbermann some night to understand how reality is created or wholly distorted by the media. You may say that one is right and the other wrong but you cannot deny that one of the two realities these newsies  create has to be false.

For the last three decades the world's media has been dominated by the Left. The Left hates America. Nothing America does will ever be right until the viper pits of our schools, the media and government are purged of Leftists and supplanted by rationalists who are able to view reality objectively.
